Season the tri tip generously with Lawry's seasoned salt. Smoke the tri tip on a ceramic grill at 250°F (120°C) until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for a medium-rare doneness. Once the desired internal temperature is achieved, remove the tri tip from the grill and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
