Instructions
1. Prepare the pickled onions by combining sliced red onion, sliced habanero pepper, and lime juice in a bowl. Season with salt, mix well, and set aside to marinate. 2. Grill the marinated steak over hot coals until it's cooked to your desired doneness. 3. While the steak is grilling, heat a skillet and sauté the sliced nopales and white onion until tender. Season with salt. 4. Warm the tortillas on a comal or dry skillet until they are soft and lightly toasted. 5. Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the grill and chop it into small, bite-sized pieces. 6. To assemble the tacos, place a portion of the chopped carne asada on a warm tortilla. 7. Top the meat with the sautéed nopales and onion mixture. 8. Add a spoonful of guacamole, a few french fries, and finish with the pickled red onions. 9. Serve immediately and enjoy.
