If you like your burgers with a little heat 🥵, you need to try these Habanero Bacon Cheeseburgers! They feature a spicy habanero sauce made with El Yucateco Red Habanero Hot Sauce, crispy bacon, melted pepper jack cheese, and grilled jalapeños.
For the Habanero Burger Sauce: Mix the mayo, Mexican crema, ketchup, El Yucateco Red Habanero Hot Sauce, lime juice, honey, and ½ tsp garlic powder together. Refrigerate the sauce to chill.
For the Burgers: Form 6 burger patties from the 80/20 ground beef. Season the patties generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Grill the patties to your preferred doneness. During the last minute of cooking, add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each patty and allow it to melt.
Cook the bacon until it's crispy. Grill the sliced jalapeños until softened and slightly charred. Toast the brioche buns.
To assemble: Build each burger with lettuce, tomato, red onion, two slices of crispy bacon, grilled jalapeños, and plenty of the creamy habanero sauce. Serve with fries and a spicy ketchup dip (mix ketchup with a few dashes of El Yucateco Red Habanero).
