Instructions
1: Boil meat with water, garlic, onion, and salt until fork-tender. Remove and let cool. 2: Boil Juanita’s Hominy until tender, then let it cool. 3: Prepare vegetables: slice red onion, cube tomatoes, chop cilantro, shred lettuce. 4: Make vinaigrette by combining olive oil, apple cider vinegar, lime juice, salt, pepper, and oregano. 5: Shred meat and combine with Hominy in a large bowl. 6: Add red onion, tomatoes, cilantro, and vinaigrette to the bowl and mix well. 7: Serve the Salpicón on tostadas, topped with lettuce, cotija cheese, and avocado slices.View original recipe
