Instructions
Quickly fry the 10 chile de arbol, 3 puya chiles, and 3 garlic cloves in a small amount of oil until fragrant and slightly darkened, being careful not to burn them. In a separate pan or oven, roast the 2 tomatoes and tomatillos until they are soft and slightly charred. Once all ingredients have cooled slightly, combine the fried chiles, garlic, roasted tomatoes, and tomatillos. Mash them together in a molcajete or blend in a food processor to your desired consistency. Finish with a squeeze of lime juice and salt to taste.View original recipe
