Instructions
1. Remove the casing from the mild link sausages. 2. Form the sausage meat into small, oblong meatball shapes. 3. Season the sausage meatballs with your favorite BBQ rub. 4. Wrap each sausage meatball with slices of bacon, securing with toothpicks. 5. Place the bacon-wrapped sausage shells on a smoker or grill. 6. Cook until the bacon is crispy and the sausage is cooked through. 7. Brush the shells generously with BBQ sauce during the last few minutes of cooking. 8. Allow the sauce to set and caramelize slightly. 9. Remove from the grill, let rest, and serve hot.
